Sober Circles are for men and women that are looking for encouragement, education and empowerment as well as practical tools to maintain their sobriety. Sober Circles are for the person that is sober curious, newly sober or sober for multiple years and wants to empower, educate and strengthen their path of recovery to keep themselves learning and growing. Its for people that enjoy connecting with like-minded people in safe, empathetic learning environments. Sober Circles are designed for everyone, but ultimately with the person that is tired of negative consequences in their life and believe that with support, education and accountability - they can change their own life.
Sober Circles can compliment any personal and individual path of recovery.
Who is Frances Stone?
Frances Stone is a CACCF Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor, Founder of the nonprofit organization, Family Recovery Society of Canada and woman & mother in long-term recovery from addiction. Throughout her career in mental health and addiction, Frances has self-published a memoir, co-created and hosted Talk Recovery, a radio show about mental health and addiction on Vancouver Co-op radio for five years and worked in a women's biopsychosocial treatment centre helping clients through the darkest time in their lives, find recovery. She is currently working on her second memoir, in private practice as an Addictions Counsellor and in the field of mental health for Coast Mental Health at their "Rehabilitation & Recovery" program on səmiq̓wəʔelə (formerly Riverview Hospital) lands.
November 2021 Session:
For November 2021 sessions will be available Wednesdays at 10 am and 7pm PST on Zoom. For November's group, we will be discussing the fundamentals of change, which are the pillars of strengthening and maintaining a personal path of recovery from ANY self-defeating, negative and compulsive habit or pattern that is holding you back from experiencing freedom, joy and purpose in your life.
